What’s new?

Ok Girls, you asked for it, so let’s get to riding! I will be at Raisin Woods on Thursday, April 15 th, at 6:00. RTR (ready to ride) at 6:30 sharp. This is open to everyone but I would prefer to begin with Level 1/beginner or slower riders. However, if you are faster and we had a few levels of riders there, we will split them up. My schedule will not stay the same every week so check back for future rides. I will also plan some weekend rides so we can visit other systems. You must have a helmet, that’s the only required gear. I have some extra bikes if you want to borrow one but you’ll need to check with me first. If it rains, no riding. We don’t ride wet trails! See you there! See MoreSee Less

Kim Harper and I are new to the sport of mountain biking. Not long ago I would see a mountain biker and wonder “What the hell is wrong with them? Why would anyone want to ride a bike up a hill?” But, now I have the fever too. And the answer is “Ride the bike up the hill so you can ride down the hill.” What appeals to me about mountain biking? I love to ride to spend time with my wife doing something that we both enjoy. I love to spend time outdoors, I love to get exercise and to challenge myself. I enjoy working on our bikes and learning about basic maintenance and repair. Why do you enjoy mountain biking? What brought you to the sport and kept you here? Why do you ride a toy in the woods? Interested to hear what everyone has to say about this. See MoreSee Less
